CORE SERVICES
Core Services are included with the purchase of all Planitax Corporate
Tax Horizons® subscriptions. This package is all you need to begin
utilizing Horizons immediately. In most cases, the setup and training
phases can be completed in one to two weeks, enabling Horizons to be “Live”
in a fraction of the time of traditional tax software solutions.
Core Services are comprehensive and cover three phases:

Phase I: Setup of your Horizons software modules
The Horizons setup is based on a rapid implementation methodology that
first incorporates your specific needs in order to align the setup with
your priorities. Setup begins with an implementation meeting to establish
a work plan and timeline designed to fit your processes, existing systems,
users, and priorities. We then set up and assist your team to configure
the relevant Horizons modules, incorporating your terminology and user
security requirements, so the system fits your operation. In our experience,
most clients complete the setup phase in just a few days.
Phase II: Training for administrators and end users
Although Horizons modules are intuitive to learn and use, training is
the best way to ensure your team gets the most from our software. We provide
training that is tailored to the configurations made to personalize your
system, so for example if you have a particular naming convention you
use to manage IDRs, we will train your users in how Horizons supports
that process. We train administrators and end users alike, and we are
flexible in our delivery options. We can bring the classroom to
you or, as many clients prefer, given the dispersed nature of operations
today, we can train you in our virtual classroom. This process makes
scheduling much easier and gets your team using Horizons more quickly.
But training doesn’t stop once you’ve completed a session.
In addition to classroom or virtual training, we also provide comprehensive,
searchable, index-driven online help material that can be accessed from
anywhere within any Horizons module.
Phase III: Client support
We know that your ongoing satisfaction with Horizons depends not only
on the value the software delivers, but equally on the people who are
there to help you after your setup is complete. To ensure your satisfaction
long after setup, we’ve developed a range of support services that
includes a client account manager, a toll free support line, and an online
support site where you can log questions or issues. Through our client
support services, we help foster user adoption and ensure that Horizons
continues to evolve to meet changes in your department as they occur.
