Planitax File Manager
The Planitax File Manager module is a comprehensive document storage and tracking solution that is delivered as a standard component of the Tax Operations. 

File Manager is ideal for companies that:

  • Need more efficient access to tax documents
  • Require audit trails and document controls not supported by the Windows file system and other storage systems
  • Don’t want to be saddled with configuring and managing a large, enterprise-wide document management system

File Manager enables tax to create a central repository of all critical tax documents that can quickly and easily be retrieved to support the entire tax lifecycle—from planning through audits.  It is easy to set up, intuitive to use, and because Planitax enables you to subscribe to the software, it requires minimal IT resources and support.  Once up and running, File Manager supports critical tax and regulatory requirements that are required for Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory compliance and internal controls.  Furthermore, it is integrated with the other modules in the Horizons suite enabling efficient document access and sharing for processes such as entity and audit management.

Administration and Configuration
Each module in the Horizons suite can be configured to reflect your specific processes, terminology, and requirements. In addition, capabilities can be personal­ized to suit the needs of the individual user without requiring excessive administrative, support, and/or consulting resources.

Contact Management
Contact management enables tax departments to manage detailed information about tax department staff, contractors, litigators, tax authorities, and all the other people who work with and interact with the tax department.  By storing this data centrally it is more accessible across the department, it is easier to maintain, and it is safe from inadvertent deletion.

Security and User Access
Planitax Horizons employs a range of advanced security technologies to ensure that confidential data stays confidential and is protected accordingly.  Primary security capabilities include user authentication to verify identity during login, role-based security to shield certain users from accessing confidential data, and audit trails to track user actions such as modifications to specific records.

Project Management
Tax departments are constantly managing a wide variety of projects and resources.  Planitax Project Manager enables you to track projects, resources, activities, and associated documents easily and efficiently.
