Greg Prow
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Prow has a strong track record of leadership in the tax industry. His experience spans corporate tax, operations, and public accounting. Prior to being appointed CEO, Mr. Prow served as a member of Planitax's board of directors on behalf of Mobius Venture Capital where he was Chief Operating Officer and a managing director.
Prior to Mobius, Mr. Prow was the Tax Partner in Charge of the San Jose office for PricewaterhouseCoopers. While at PwC he led the Western Region Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as industry engagement partner for numerous technology companies. In 1997, Prow led the New York tax practice for PwC and following the merger of Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse was in charge of the consumer and industrial products industry group for the New York metro region. In 1996, he led the business tax planning group in New York, and from 1993 to 1996 he developed and directed Coopers & Lybrand's research and experimentation tax credit practice. Prior to rejoining Coopers & Lybrand, he served as the Tax Manager for Borland International and President of a small High Technology start-up. Prow holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University and is a member of the California and American Bar Associations.
Chris Stauber
CTO/VP of Product Development
Mr. Stauber has over 21 years of experience engineering and developing enterprise software applications for Global 2000 companies. Mr. Stauber has responsibility for Planitax's technology vision and product development.
Prior to joining Planitax, Mr. Stauber was a senior director at Siebel Systems, Inc. responsible for Siebel's tools, core technologies, and architecture. While at Siebel, he managed the creation of Siebel's first application configuration tool, Siebel Tools, which enabled Siebel's engineers and thousands of systems integrators to efficiently tailor Siebel applications to the needs of their customers. In addition, he successfully developed the product vision, and led the team who created Siebel's product configurator. Revenue from the application grew to over $100M, and it later secured a US Patent for automated configuration solution generation. Prior to Siebel, Mr. Stauber managed engineering for Avalon Software, a manufacturing software provider. Prior to Avalon, he co-founded Bayard Software, and was responsible for sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support. Mr. Stauber holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the California State University at Hayward.
Dan Filby
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Filby has two decades of experience in leadership roles with global Fortune 100 organizations as well as small and medium-sized technology companies. Mr. Filby is responsible for Planitax's; Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Field Engineering organizations.
Mr. Filby has an excellent track record of growing revenues and delivering high levels of client satisfaction at every company for which he has worked. Prior to joining Planitax, Mr. Filby was the Chief Operating Officer at Adlex, a leading provider of IT service delivery management technology until the company's acquisition by Compuware. Before joining Adlex, Mr. Filby held leadership roles at Axeda, Oracle Corporation, where his team was ranked in the top 1% globally, and GE Capital Technology Services, where he was instrumental in tripling revenues for the division. Mr. Filby holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
Mark VanCuren
VP of Global Services
is responsible for leading Planitax's client-facing tax and technology services groups and working closely with the company's sales organization on new client engagements.
Mr. VanCuren has over 15 years of corporate tax experience with a very extensive set of clients in such diverse industries as telecommunications, aerospace, high-technology, financial services, and oil and gas. Prior to joining Planitax, Mark was a partner at PwC and a Principle at Ernst & Young. His responsibilities included the oversight and responsibility for large consulting engagements within the tax area, including the management and coordination of the IRS audit and appeals process. Mr. VanCuren served as the partner in charge of the tax compliance group for the Metro New York area, which included New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and South Eastern Connecticut. In this capacity he had responsibility for the preparation of several thousand large corporate and partnership returns. In addition, Mr. VanCuren served as the National leader of Coopers & Lybrand national R&D Tax Credit initiative.
