Greg Prow
President and CEO
Mr. Prow has a strong track record of leadership in the tax industry. His experience spans corporate tax, operations, and public accounting. Prior to being appointed CEO, Mr. Prow served as a member of Planitax's board of directors on behalf of Mobius Venture Capital where he was Chief Operating Officer and a managing director.
Prior to Mobius, Mr. Prow was the Tax Partner in Charge of the San Jose office for PricewaterhouseCoopers. While at PwC he led the Western Region Technology, Information, Communication, and Entertainment practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as industry engagement partner for numerous technology companies. In 1997, Prow led the New York tax practice for PwC and following the merger of Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse was in charge of the consumer and industrial products industry group for the New York metro region. In 1996, he led the business tax planning group in New York, and from 1993 to 1996 he developed and directed Coopers & Lybrand's research and experimentation tax credit practice. Prior to rejoining Coopers & Lybrand, he served as the Tax Manager for Borland International and President of a small High Technology start-up. Prow holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University and is a member of the California and American Bar Associations.
Jennifer Scott Fonstad
Jennifer Fonstad is a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, having joined the firm in 1997. Ms. Fonstad has worked for 20 years with both large corporations and start-ups to help build their organizations. At Draper Fisher Jurvetson, her investments span a broad set of both technology and life sciences companies including Internet services, wireless networks, medical devices, cleantech, and nanotechnology. She brings strategic leadership and a strong network to bear as a member of the Board for her investments.
Deborah Lange
Deborah Lange is the former Senior Vice President of Tax and Customs at Oracle Corporation. At Oracle, Ms. Lange was responsible for managing the company's worldwide tax and customs functions including all aspects of income and non-income tax compliance, audits by government agencies, tax policies and procedures, and accounting for income and non-income taxes. An active member in the tax community, Ms. Lange is currently Chair of the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group and a board member of the Software Tax and Finance Executives Council. Prior to joining Oracle in November 1987 as the head of the tax department Ms. Lange was employed for nine years with Arthur Andersen in the London, Portland Oregon, Hong Kong, and San Jose California offices.
Frank Mendicino
Mr. Mendicino is a co-founder and Managing Director of Access Venture Partners, an early stage, high technology venture capital fund. Mr. Mendicino has 15 years of experience in venture capital which includes successfully investing in, growing and exiting growth companies.
Through his work with early stage companies, he has built a large network of deal referral sources and value added resources for portfolio companies. Mr. Mendicino was a founding board member of The Contra Costa County Incubator in San Francisco. He is currently a Colorado Venture Capital Association Board Member. Mr. Mendicino has a deep understanding of product development and sales and marketing processes which allows him to accelerate the growth of the companies in which Access Venture Partners invests.
Prior to co-founding Access Venture Partners, Mr. Mendicino worked for Woodside Fund, a Silicon Valley venture fund, for 10 years where he helped build and exit a successful portfolio of 29 early stage companies. Mr. Mendicino is on the Board of Directors of several private companies. He received his B.A. in Political Science from The University of California at Berkeley in 1989.
Chris Wand
Mr. Wand is a principal at Mobius Venture Capital. He joined the fund in August 1999 in the company's Colorado office. Before joining the fund, Mr. Wand was in charge of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development at one of the firm's portfolio companies, MessageMedia (formerly known as First Virtual Holdings). At MessageMedia, Mr. Wand was an integral part of the company's series A through series E private equity fundraising efforts, initial public offering, acquisition of four private companies, and SEC compliance. He was also instrumental in the transformation of its business from being the first secure Internet payment system to being a leader in the email messaging services industry. Prior to MessageMedia, Mr. Wand was a management consultant at LEK Consulting, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions advisement and general strategy consulting to Fortune 500 clients in a variety of industries including high-tech, media and entertainment, communications, OEM electronics, industrial products, and agri-business.
Mr. Wand holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University. When he's not advising portfolio companies or evaluating new potential investments, he can be found hiking, biking or skiing (depending on the season) in the mountains of Colorado. Mr. Wand serves on the board of directors of the Colorado Venture Capital Association; the board and executive committee of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado at Boulder; and the non-profit board of directors for the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. He also enjoys playing with new electronic gadgets and building things with power tools and is a Kansas City Barbeque Society certified BBQ judge.
